Prof Ali Zamir Khan is a leader in the field of minimally invasive and robotic thoracic surgery. He trained and worked in United Kingdom as a cardiothoracic surgeon for about 20 years before returning to India to start the Department of Minimally Invasive and Robotic Thoracic Surgery at Medanta-The Medicity in 2010. This is one of the premier multispecialty hospitals in India providing cutting edge tertiary care to patients. The minimally invasive program is one of the most successful programs in India. He has returned to London to bring back the expertise of Robotic Thoracic Surgery to UK. He was working as a Consultant Thoracic Surgeon in St. Bartholomew's Hospital, London where he was providing high end Robotic Thoracic Surgery using the latest version of Da Vinci Xi Robot. Now he has join Blackpool Victoria Hospital , Blackpool.Mr. Shyam Kolvekar is one of the leading cardiothoracic surgeons in London, currently working at Barts Heart Centre (St Bartholomew’s Hospital). He is a Honorary Associate Professor at University College London and involved in several research projects. He has a special interest in mitral valve repairs, beating-heart surgery, cardiac arrhythmias and minimally-invasive cardiac surgery and is concerned with ischaemic pre-conditioning of the heart. He also has a thoracic practice dealing with lung cancer, pneumothorax, pleural effusion and chest wall deformities. He is leading the  national pectus MDT in England and he has  help to start first national pectus centre in England at St Bartholomew’s Hospital.
