Bhavya Tiwari received her MA in Comparative Literature from Jadavpur University (2008) and her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin (2014). She is Assistant Professor at the University of Houston, and is the author of Beyond English: World Literature and India (Bloomsbury, 2021), and of essays in Interventions, Comparative Literature Studies, Comparative Literature and Culture, and elsewhere.
David Damrosch received his Ph.D. at Yale (1980) and is Ernest Bernbaum Professor of Comparative Literature at Harvard University and founder of the Institute for World Literature. His books include What Is World Literature? (Princeton University Press, 2003), Comparing the Literatures: Literary Studies in a Global Age (Princeton University Press, 2020), and Around the World in 80 Books (Penguin Press, 2021), and he is editor and translator of Georges Ngal’s Giambatista Viko, or the Rape of African Discourse (2022).
