Prof. Wang is the TMR Chair Professor of Structural Engineering at the School of Civil Engineering, The University of Queensland, Australia. He is a Chartered Structural Engineer, and a Fellow of the Academy of Engineering Singapore, the Institution of Engineers Singapore, and the Institution of Structural Engineers. His research interests are in the areas of structural stability, vibration, optimization, and very large floating structures. He has published over 420 journal papers and 9 books in these areas. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Structural Stability and Dynamics and an editorial board member of several journals, including Engineering Structures, Ocean Systems Engineering, Structures and International Journal of Applied Mechanics. His numerous awards include a Minister for National Development’s R&D Awards 2017, IStructE Structural Award for Sustainability 2016, Monash Civil Engineering Alumnus of the Year 2015 Award, Keith Eaton Award 2014, Lewis Kent Award 2009, the IES Prestigious Engineering Achievement Award 2013, and the US$1 million Grand Prize in the Next Generation Port Challenge. Lim started his career in the maritime industry after graduating from the National University of Singapore in 1968. He worked at Keppel Offshore and Marine Technology Centre for several years and was involved in ship construction, conversion and maintenance. He has international experience in feasibility studies, master planning, and the design and construction of shipyards. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a Fellow of IMarEST. He is an advocate of floating solutions for land-scarce Singapore. Dr. Zhi Yung Tay is currently an Assistant Professor at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). From 2014 to 2016, he was attached to the Institute of Energy System (IES), University of Edinburgh as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, where he was the Lead Hydrodynamic Modeleron the EPSRC EcoWatt2050 Project. Prior to joining IES, he was a Senior Research Engineer at Keppel Offshore and Marine Technology Centre and a Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He obtained his Ph.D. from NUS specializing in the hydroelastic response of the very large floating structure. His research interests are in the areas of hydroelasticity, marine energy devices and very large floating structures
