Alessandro G. Benati is Head of the English Department and Professor of English and Applied Linguistics at the American University of Sharjah. He is visiting and honorary professor at the York St John University and the University of Portsmouth.

Megan Smith is an Assistant Professor at Mississippi State University. Her main research interests are in second language acquisition, particularly L2 syntax and psycholinguistics.

Vanpatten, Bill
