Dr. Muin S. A. Tuffaha obtained the honours degree in general medicine (MD) from the Medical Institute Kiev in 1986 before he passed the German Medical Board in Pathology (Facharzt). Afterwards he continued his carrier as specialist in pathology in the Institute of Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine at the Technical University of Dresden, Germany. Tuffaha was the deputy head of the Department of Head and Neck Pathology in the Faculty of Medicine at University of Hamburg, Germany before he became the Head of the Pathology Department and Director of the Laboratories in the Al-Amal Regional Cancer in Amman, Jordan from 1996 to 1998. In 2003 Tuffaha became director of the German Center of Laboratory Medicine in Amman, Jordan.
