Advanced Functional Materials for Membrane-Assisted Water Purification provides readers with a thorough overview of the principles and practices involved in membrane-assisted water purification. It explains the concepts and procedures involved in membrane-assisted water filtration, as well as some of its practical applications. Various types of membranes are discussed, including porous polymeric, ultrafiltration, 3D-printed, biochar-based, hydrogel, air-gap, and more. The morphology, structure, properties, and best-use applications of each are outlined, and other considerations such as preparation techniques, characterization techniques, reverse osmosis, deep eutectic solvents, and modeling techniques are covered as well.
