NIGEL THOMAS is a Senior Lecturer in Childhood Studies at the University of Wales, Swansea. He was a social work practitioner and manager for more than twenty years in Derbyshire and Oxfordshire. His recent publications include (with Robert Sanders) and (with Sonia Jackson).
