John Christopher Thomas (PhD, University of Sheffield) is Clarence J. Abbott Professor of Biblical Studies at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary in Cleveland, TN USA and Director of the Centre for Pentecostal and Charismatic Studies at Bangor University, Bangor, North Wales UK. He is co-editor of the Journal of Pentecostal Theology and editor of its supplement series. He is the author of nine books including Footwashing in John 13 and the Johannine Community, The Devil, Disease, and Deliverance: Origins of Illness in New Testament Thought, The Apocalypse: A Literary and Theological Commentary, The Spirit of the New Testament, A Pentecostal Reads the Book of Mormon, and The Book of Revelation (THNTC) with Frank D. Macchia. Thomas is also the author of the 1 John, 2 John, 3 John volume in the Pentecostal Commentary Series.
