He was Postdoctoral Research Associate/Fellow at NTU from February 2012 to January 2014. His main research interests include energy harvesting, passive and active vibration control, smart materials and structures, acoustic and mechanical metamaterial, structural dynamics and aerodynamics, acoustic energy transfer. Dr. Tang has authored and co-authored 3 book chapters and more than 200 technical papers in influential international journals and conferences.

Dr. Kean Aw, born in Georgetown, Malaysia, is Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Auckland. He joined the university in 2004 and is currently Deputy Head of Department (Research). Prior to this academic position, he worked at Intel, Delta Prisma, Altera, and Navman for a total of 15 years. He earned his undergraduate degree in electrical and electronics engineering, M.Sc. in advanced manufacturing systems, and Ph.D. in applied physics (semiconductor physics). His main research interests include micro-systems and deployment of smart/functional materials and structures, such as conducting polymers and metallic oxides, which act as sensors and actuators in various applications, such as bio-sensors, medical/rehabilitation robots, micro-pumps, micro-manipulators, MEMS, and energy harvesters. He has more than 250 refereed publications, including books, book chapters, proceedings, and journals.

Dr. Guobiao Hu is Assistant Professor with the IoT Thrust at HKUST(GZ). He received his Ph.D. from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Before joining HKUST(GZ), he worked as Research Fellow in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, at Nanyang Technological University. His research interests include vibration energy harvesting, acoustic-elastic metamaterials, and intelligent material structures & systems. Dr. Hu has published more than 100 peer-reviewed technical papers in prestigious journals and international conferences. He was a recipient of the 2023 Best Paper Award in Energy Harvesting, awarded by the SMASIS Division of the ASME, and the Best Paper Finalist Award at the SPIE Conference on Smart Structures/NDE in 2018. He has also filed 3 patents.

Dr. Junlei Wang is Professor in the school of Mechanical and Power Engineering at the Zhengzhou University. He received his B.E. degree and Ph.D. from the School of Power Engineering at the Chongqing University in 2009 and 2014, respectively.
