MARCO STRÖHLEIN was the host of various light entertainment programmes on German television from 1996 to 2003. In recent years he has gained a reputation as a presentation skills trainer. His job entailed numerous engagements on cruise ships, where he introduced the crew members to the art of compering and drew on his personal experience to create a comedy act. Here he also profited from his tenacious scepticism towards everyone he’s not closely related to. With his own stand-up comedy programme Marco Ströhlein also tours throughout Europe and on numerous cruise ships all over the world. Through his cruise fan stores (on- as well as offline) he has established his renown in the industry and amongst cruise fans.

Tasche, Michael
MICHAEL TASCHE is a freelance author, coach and film director. For many years he specialised in TV comedies and wrote for top German comedians as well as scripting sitcoms. He also devised and staged shows for German celebrities. For the past 12 years Michael Tasche has worked for various cruise operators as a writer, coach and inspirational advisor. His natural inquisitiveness, innate powers of observation and a talent for exaggeration laid the foundation for the stories in this book.
