Andrzej Stankiewicz is Senior Scientist, DSM Research, Geleen, The Netherlands, and Associate Professor, Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. The author or coauthor of more than 100 publications, he holds several patents in the field. He is founder and coordinator of the BLUEPRINT-DSM Center for Process Intensification and codirector of the Center for Professional Advancement international course on process intensification. A Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, he is a member of the Royal Dutch Chemical Society, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and Working Parties of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering, among other organizations. He received the M.Sc. degree (1977) in chemical engineering from Warsaw University of Technology, Poland, and the Ph.D. degree (1985) from the Industrial Chemistry Research Institute in Warsaw, Poland.
Jacob A. Moulijn is Full Professor of Chemical Engineering, Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. He previously served as full professor at the University of Amsterdam (1985-1990) and visiting professor at the University of Delaware, the Technical University of Wroclav, the Technische Universitat Karlsruhe, and the University of Ghent. The author or coauthor of over 450 professional publications and eight books, he holds several patents and is European editor of CAITECH. He was the CTA for the United Nations in China (1995-2000) and is the recipient of the BP Energy Prize and the NWO-STW "Simon Stevin Meesterschap." He received the Ph.D. degree in chemincal engineering from the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
