Ola Söderström is Professor of Social andCultural Geography at the Institute of Geography, University ofNeuchâtel, Switzerland. He has published extensively on urbanmaterial culture, visual thinking in urban planning, and urbanglobalization. His current research focuses on a comparativeethnography of contemporary urban ways of life. He is the co-authorof Urban Cosmographies (2009) and the co-editor ofCritical Mobilities (2013) and Re-shaping Cities: HowGlobal Mobility Transforms Architecture and Urban Form(2010).
