The book offers a comprehensive overview of social security in the Balkan states. Marzena Zakowska, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor at War Studies University, Warsaw, Poland. She has published numerous articles on the Balkan region and armed conflicts, including “The roots of armed conflicts – multilevel security perspective” and “Strategic challenges for Serbia’s integration with the European Union”.
