Prof. Dr Boguslaw Sliwerski is professor at the Academy of Special Education at the Institute of Education, University of Lódz. He founded the Journal of Educational Studies (Studia z Teorii Wychowania) and is editor of the four international handbooks of educational studies (Gdansk 2006-2010). Between 1984 and 2013 he took up guest professorships at Masaryks in Brno, Prague Karl, Ostrava and Pardubice Universities in the Czech Republic, at Bratislava, Trnava and Presov Universities in Slovakia and at Munster, Giessen and Freiburg Universities in Germany.

She previously served as the President of the local branch of the Polish Psychological Association and is currently a member and Custodian of the Committee of International Conferences on Conflict and Aggression (CICA). She also coordinates the Central European CICA Research and Formation Centre.
