Joanna Siekiera is an Assistant Professor of International Humanitarian Law of Armed Conflict at the Faculty of Law and Administration, War Studies University in Warsaw, Poland, and a Fellow at the U.S. Marine Corps University in Quantico. She supports various military institutions, primarily NATO, as a legal advisor, consultant, course facilitator and book editor. Dr Siekiera did her postdoctoral research on legal consequences of ocean change in Oceania at the Faculty of Law, University of Bergen, Norway, and Ph.D. studies on Pacific regionalization in New Zealand at the Faculty of Law, Victoria University of Wellington.
