Souraya Sidani, Ph.D. is Professor and Canada Research Chairat the School of Nursing, Ryerson University. She has served as aninvestigator on over 20 funded grants and has numerous publicationsin peer-reviewed journals and books. Dr. Sidani's researchfocuses on evaluating interventions and advanced practice roles,examining patient preferences for treatments, and refining researchmethods and measures for determining the clinical effectiveness ofinterventions.
Carrie Jo Braden, Ph.D. is Associate Dean for Researchand Hugh Roy Cullen Professor of Nursing at the University of TexasHealth Sciences Center at San Antonio. Dr. Braden is a Fellow ofboth the American Academy of Nursing and the Western Academy ofNursing. Her research focuses on learned response to chronicillness, mechanisms enhancing scholarly achievement(interprofessional research mentoring), and support resources forhealth disparities research. She has served as an investigator on23 funded grants. She is a recipient of the Nurse of the Year Awardfor Excellence in Nursing Research and has authored or co-authoredthree books and numerous articles for refereed journals.
