Mark Shiel is Lecturer in Film Studies at Sheffield HallamUniversity and was formerly Faculty of Arts Fellow at the Centrefor Film Studies, University College Dublin. He is a graduate ofTrinity College Dublin and completed his PhD, "Radical Agendas andthe Politics of Space in American Cinema, 1968-1974" at the BritishFilm Institute in London in 1999.
Tony Fitzmaurice is College Lecturer at the Centre forFilm Studies, University College Dublin. As well as writingregularly on the arts, Tony Fitzmaurice is a member of the FilmInstitute of Ireland, and is currently preparing an anthology ofIrish Film Studies readings.
