Brenda Shaughnessy is Assistant Professor of English at Rutgers-Newark University and Poetry Editor at Large at Tin House Magazine. She is the author of Our Andromeda and Human Dark with Sugar, and her poetry has appeared in H arper’s, McSweeney’s, the Nation, the New Yorker, and the Paris Review.
