The present book summarizes the achievements of the European FP7 project ARUM: Adaptive Production Management toward adaptive production planning and scheduling of highly complex and individualized products. Arnd Schirrmann is currently Expert for Services & Logistics at Airbus Group Innovations in Hamburg and works in the department TX3I Industrial & Support Processes. He is a graduate of the University of Technology Hamburg-Harburg (TUHH) and has previously worked as a scientific assistant at the TUHH and as a researcher for the DaimlerChrysler AG. He has worked in the fields of advanced in-service support, performance based logistics and production logistics and was involved in the project management of national and multinational research projects. Arnd Schirrmann is coordinating the FP7 project ARUM and has published several conference papers, journal articles and book chapters related to logistics research, performance based services and production control. He is a board member of the Scientific Board of the Scientific Society for Logistics (FGL Hamburg).
