This edited volume includes updated articles presented at the International Police Executive Symposium’s 25th annual meeting in Sofia, Bulgaria, in July 2014. Practitioners and academics representing nearly 30 countries presented academic papers in a participative dialogue on global crime prevention initiatives and best practices in building community resilience. The book includes 19 chapters from police leaders, practitioners, and academics around the world in efforts to demonstrate effective strategies for the prevention of crime and innovative techniques in assisting crime victims. Several chapters will be dedicated to violence against women and ethnic minorities.
