Über Autor(innen)

EMILY RUTH RUTTER is an assistant professor of English and a Ball Brothers Honors College Faculty Fellow at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. She is the author of Invisible Ball of Dreams: Literary Representations of Baseball behind the Color Line and The Blues Muse: Race, Gender, and Musical Celebrity in American Poetry. With Tiffany Austin, Sequoia Maner and darlene anita scott, she co-edited Revisiting the Elegy in the Black Lives Matter Era. Her numerous essays have been published in African American Review, MELUS, A Cambridge History of Twentieth-Century American Women’s Poetry, and Some Other Blues: New Perspectives on Amiri Baraka, among other journals and essay collections.
