Dr. Harald R o h r a c h e r. Studied technical physics at the Technical University of Graz, sociology and philosophy at the Karl Franzens University of Graz, and also "Science and Technology Policy" at SPRU, University of Sussex, in England.
He has been an academic staff member of the Inter-University Research Centre for Technology, Work and Culture since 1988, head of IFZ and university assistant at the Department of Technology and Science Research of the Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies (IFF) since 1999.
Teaching activities at the University of Klagenfurt and at the Technical University of Graz in the subjects philosophy of technology and socially compatible technology design.
The focuses of his work are: the sociology of technical research, regional energy management, local energy and climate protection concepts, innovative energy service packages, the diffusion of technology and technology policy at a regional level
