Count Nikolaus Ludwig von Zinzendorf (1700–1760), founder of the Moravian Church, was not only a well known preacher and evangelist in Europe, but also a missionary among the Indians in North America and a translator of the New Testament into German. The edition of his translation of the New Testament and of some of his Daily Texts in volume 7 in the series “Texte zur Geschichte des Pietismus” starts with his early attempts of Timothy and Jude, of Matthew 5–7 and Revelation 1–4. It also presents his summaries to a number of books of the Old and New Testament and the suggestions of Johann Andreas Rothe for a new translation of the Luther Bible. The editors of the different texts offer a thorough introduction and complementary material for a better understanding of Zinzendorf´s view of the Scripture.>
