Sanjeev Kumar has obtained M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, India. He has worked in the field of sustainable agriculture, soil quality management, agriculture gaseous emission, development of slow- release fertilizers and phytoremediation etc. He has published 35 research articles, 25 book chapters, 4 edited books with Springer and presented research paper in many national and international conferences and seminars. He was awarded ‘Research and Academic Excellence Award- 2024’, by BBAU, Lucknow; ‘Young Scientist Award’ by The Society for Science of Climate Change and Sustainable Environment, New Delhi; FSPR ‘Fellow of Society of Plant Research’; FSSCE ‘Fellowship of Society for Science of Climate Change and Sustainable Environment; and received the recognition award of ‘Significant contribution in academic activities’ by BBAU, Lucknow. Dr. Kumar is working in the Department of Geology at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, India.

Susmita Karmakar holds Ph.D. in Environmental Science from the University of Kalyani, Nadia, West Bengal, India. Her research expertise spans a range of topics including gaseous emissions from agricultural practices, food security, sustainable farm management, soil health, organic agriculture, agricultural water management, and carbon sequestration. She has served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences at the Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi, India. Dr. Karmakar has contributed significantly to the field with 12 research articles and 4 book chapters published in peer-reviewed international journals and has presented her research at numerous national and international conferences and seminars. She is now working at Shri Shikshayatan College, Kolkata, West Bengal, India.

Anita Rani is Associate Professor, Department of Botany, Dyal Singh College, University of Delhi, India. She obtained M.Sc. and Ph. D in Botany from Department of Botany, University of Delhi, Delhi, India. Dr. Anita is a recipient of JRF and SRF from Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and she began her teaching career as a guest lecturer in Botany at Daulat Ram College, in 2002. She joined Dyal Singh College, University of Delhi in 2004, and has a teaching experience of 19.5 years. She has been teaching Mycology and Phytopathology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Plant Physiology, Cell and Biomolecules, Cell and Molecular Biology, Analytical Techniques and Biostatistics, to undergraduate students. Dr. Anita has 24 papers including eight in international and five in national journal, and eleven book chapters to her credit. She has developed four e-lessons for the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) Government of India, under the project “National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology” (NMEICT) for Discipline: Botany, Paper: Plant Anatomy, in 2014. She has also developed two e-lessons for Botany Discipline Course-I in 2013, for Paper 3: Mycology and Phytopathology, under the Four-year Undergraduate Programme. Dr. Anita was awarded the Young Scientist medal for paper presentation in National Seminar on Physiological and Biotechnological Approaches to Improve Plant productivity, organized by Centre for Plant Biotechnology, Department of Science & Technology, CCS Haryana Agricultural University New Campus, Hisar. She has also convened two workshops for teachers in March 2019 on “Recent Trends in Plant Systematics and Future Prospects” and in October 2023 on “Exploring Opportunities in Organic Farming and Vermicomposting”; and a National Symposium in February 2020 on “Bio imaging”, in Department of Botany, Dyal Singh College. Dr. Anita has been actively participating as subject expert for the up-gradation of Botany glossary, Comprehensive Glossary of Sciences and preparation of Environmental Science glossary organized by Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology, Ministry of Human Resource Development (Department of Higher Education) from February 2014 till date.

Ritu Singh is Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Science, School of Earth Sciences at the Central University of Rajasthan, Ajmer. She received her Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, and the Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (CSIR-IITR), Lucknow. With a decade of teaching and research experience in environmental chemistry, her research focuses on wastewater treatment, nano-remediation, and emerging contaminants. Dr. Singh has authored over 30 publications in international peer-reviewed journals, contributed 23 book chapters, and edited three international books. Her work has earned her the ‘Young Scientist Award’ in Environmental Science from the Dalela Education Foundation, Academy of Environmental Biology, and the Society for Science of Climate Change and Sustainable Development (SSCE). Additionally, she serves as a scientific and academic editor for international and national journals, and reviews for several prestigious international journals.
