Muthu Ramachandran is currently a principal lecturer in the Faculty of Innovation North: Information and Technology, Leeds Metropolitan University (Leeds, UK). Previously he spent nearly eight years in industrial research (Philips Research Labs and Volantis Systems Ltd, Surrey, UK) where he worked on software architecture, reuse, and testing. Prior to that he was teaching at Liverpool John Moores University and received his PhD from Lancaster University. His career started as a research scientist for India Space Research Labs where he worked on real time systems development projects. Muthu has widely published articles in journals, books, and conferences on various advanced topics on software engineering and education. He completed his master's degrees from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and from Madurai Kamaraj University (Madurai, India). Muthu is also a member of various professional organizations and computer societies including IEEE, ACM, BCS, HEA. Rogerio Atem de Carvalho is a teacher, researcher, and innovation coordinator with the Instituto Federal Fluminense (IFF), Brazil, and a Brazilian representative at both IFIP Working Group and IEEE SMC Society Technical Committee on Enterprise Information Systems. He holds a BSc in computer science and a DSc in industrial engineering, his technical interests and publishing areas are free software, ERP, ECM, project management, and decision support systems.
