He is founder and President of Design forCompetitiveness, Inc., a former executive with General Electric andBooz Allen Hamilton, and has done consulting and training forautomotive, aerospace, medical, defense, and many Fortune 500high-tech corporations. He is the recipient of the Austin BonisReliability Education Advancement Award from the American Societyfor Quality for his pioneering work in reliability. He is a Fellowof the System Safety Society, and has received the ScientificAchievement Award and the Educator of the Year Award. He is alsothe Chairman of the IEEE Design for Reliability TechnicalCommittee.
MICHAEL ALLOCCO is a Fellow and former executive vicepresident of the System Safety Society and has received theEducator of the Year Award. He has over three decades of experiencein safety engineering, system safety, and safety management andconducts graduate-level lectures in system safety engineering atmajor universities. He has applied system safety engineering ondiverse complex systems for the general industry, DOT, DOD, DOE,and NASA.
