"A Small Village in the Austrian Alps" is a book about some small village in the Alps—its possibilities and its realities. This exploration also opens up a view of universality: there are many villages in the Alps; I describe one, but it could just as well be any of the others, as they all share certain characteristics. I write about the landscape, the way of life, local customs, and practiced animal welfare. I have also sought to convey the significance of small villages for the overall economy and way of life.

Brigitte Prem, geboren 1948 in Salzburg, abgeschlossenes Studium der Germanistik, Anglistik und Romanistik, kleinere Studien in Soziologie. Schule des Schreibens in Hamburg.
Vielseitige berufliche Tätigkeiten: Verkäuferin, Serviererin, Sekretärin, 40 Jahre begeisterte Vollerwerbs- Lehrerin, 20 Jahre Ehrenamtliche Jugendgruppe. Nachhilfelehrerin. Autorin. Pensionistin seit 2012.
Fühlt sich als Kärntnerin, lebt im Land Salzburg.
Ehefrau. Oma.
Es sind von ihr einige Kleinkinderbücher, ein Märchenroman, ein Kurzgeschichtenband , eine Abhandlung über Salige (englisch), ein Aufsatz über das Lebensskript im Märchen, einige Geschichten in "Smartstorys" und im Literaturpodium, erschienen. Sie hat auch zwei historische Romane verfasst.
