In our modern times, we are not nearly as concerned with daily survival needs as we are with making our lives happy and meaningful. Accordingly, happiness and meaning is often proportionate to the strength of our interpersonal relationships with family and friends. We are dependent upon each other for physical and emotional support both sociologically and psychologically. The stronger our interpersonal bonds are, the healthier we become as individuals.
