Nancy Mather, PhD, is a Professor at the University ofArizona in the Department Disability and Psychoeducational Studies.She specializes in the areas of assessment, reading, writing, andlearning disabilities. She has served as a learning disabilitiesteacher, a diagnostician, a university professor, and aneducational consultant. She has published numerous articles andbooks and conducts workshops on assessment and instructionnationwide. She is a co-author of the Woodcock-Johnson III and hasco-authored two books on interpretation and application of the WJIII.
Barbara J. Wendling, MA, is the Education Director forthe Woodcock-Muñoz Foundation. In addition, she conductstraining workshops nationwide on topics related to assessment andlinking assessment to instruction. Barbara has served as a generaleducation teacher, a learning disabilities specialist, a productmanager for a test publishing company, and an educationalconsultant. She has a number of publications related to assessmentand instruction and is a co-author of the Woodcock Interpretationand Instructional Interventions Program.
Both authors have coauthored numerous Essentials volumes,and cowrote together the Essentials of Evidence-Based AcademicInterventions, one of the series' best-selling titles.
