Christopher Marlowe, the most important English playwright before Shakespeare, became famous not only, for his translations but especially for his expressive blank verse tragedies and dramas. Louis Ule’s concordance of Marlowe’s collected works can be used in the analysis of Marlowe's often passionate language. The one-volume work is based on C. F. Tucker Brooke’s edition of “The Works of Christopher Marlowe”. Each individual work is quoted with the Brooke version parallel to the orthographically modernized computer version, accompanied by percentage lists of word frequency, sentence structure, word choice, etc. An appendix is also inc1uded, featuring an alphabetical list of word occurrences along with their sources as well as a frequency list.
