The need for internationally and interculturally competent teachers is rising due to the increasing globalisation of society resulting in increased linguistic and cultural diversity in today’s classrooms. As a European mobility and education programme, Erasmus has become a cornerstone of the internationalisation of European higher education institutions over the last three decades.

Linhofer, Susanne
Susanne Linhofer is head of the Institute for Diversity Studies and International Relations at the University College of Teacher Education Styria (PHSt). Among other things, she heads the Working Group on Student Mobility in the Development Network South East (for future secondary education teachers) and works as an expert for the European Higher Education Area on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research.

Holz, Oliver
Oliver Holz is professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business at KU Leuven. He is member of the research group ‘Leuven Economics of Education Research (LEER)’. Topics as cross-country comparisons, gender education and diversity studies belong to his expertise. He is participant in and coordinator of different European projects. He is president of the annual conference IPiE ‘International Perspectives in Education’.

Haas-Vogl, Heiko
Heiko Haas-Vogl is deputy head of the Institute for Diversity Studies and International Relations and coordinates International Relations as well as the Erasmus Outgoings programme at the University College of Teacher Education Styria (PHSt). He is a member of the International Forum of Austrian Universities of Teacher Education and the Working
Group on Student Mobility in the Development Network South East.
