VIJAY KUMAR, PhD, is Professor of Computer Science in thedepartment of Computer Science Electrical Engineering at theUniversity of Missouri-Kansas City. Dr. Kumar has served as aconsultant to the United Nations and is on the editorial reviewboard of several peer-reviewed journals. He is the editor-in-chiefof two peer-reviewed journals: International Journal of NextGeneration Computing (IJNGC) and International Journal ofComputer Science (IJCS). His research interests includerecovery and security in mobile database systems, workflow on theweb, mobile computing databases, data warehousing, and websecurity.
