Bahattin Karagözoglu
received his BSc and MSc from the Middle East Technical University (METU) in Turkey, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Division in 1972 and 1974 respectively. He got his PhD from University of Strathclyde (Glasgow – Scotland) in Biomedical Engineering in 1977 and he specialized in long-term ambulatory patient monitoring. He worked for Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey from 1979 to 1983. He joined King Abdulaziz University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1983 and worked there till 2012. He served at various levels as a teacher of several electrical and biomedical engineering courses, and was the coordinator of the Biomedical Engineering Program and accreditation (ABET) champion for four academic programs in the Department. He served in Istanbul Medeniyet University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering upon his return to Turkey in 2012. He assumed variousacademic and administration responsibilities including the acting dean of the faculty till his retirement in September 2015. He joined afterward Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakif (Foundation) University in Turkey, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Biomedical Engineering in October 2015 as a Professor and currently he is chairing the Department.
