Über Autor(innen)

Nicholas James, PhD, is Professor of Clinical Oncology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. He has a long-standing interest in the communication of information to patients, and founded the Cancer Help UK website in 1994 (www.cancerhelp.org.uk), now one of the largest patient websites in the world and winner of many awards. Professor James was also the chair of the Royal College of Radiologists Clinical Oncology Audit Committee. He has written numerous research papers as well as a large number of contributions to multi-author textbooks, key review articles plus Cancer: A Very Short Introduction a cancer book aimed at the general public. His research is focused on prostate cancer and he is the chief investigator on two current major Phase III trials, TRAPEZE and STAMPEDE, now the largest interventional prostate cancer trial.
