Über Autor(innen)

Nicusor Iftimia is leader of the Advanced Microscopy andImage Guided Interventions Group at Physical Sciences, Inc. inAndover, Massachusetts. He has been awarded several NIH and DoDgrants to conduct cutting-edge research in biomedical opticsimaging for cancer diagnosis and therapy guidance. He has publishedover forty peer-reviewed journal papers, is the author of severalbook chapters, and a co-inventor of more than ten patents.
William R. Brugge is Director of the GastrointestinalEndoscopy Unit at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Professorof Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Brugge pioneered the useof endoscopic ultrasound imaging¿in the diagnosis and stagingof gastrointestinal malignancies, particularly early malignanciesof the pancreas.
Daniel X. Hammer is leader of the Biomedical ImagingGroup at Physical Sciences, Inc. in Andover, Massachusetts. Hespecializes in the development of innovative biomedical opticalinstruments, conducting international award-winning research in thearea of ophthalmology and adaptive optics. He has published morethan forty peer-reviewed journal papers and is a co-inventor ofmore than ten patents.
