Seán Hand is Professor of French and Head of the Department of French Studies at the University of Warwick. He is also author of Emmanuel Levinas (Routledge, 2008), editor of The Levinas Reader (Wiley-Blackwell, 2001, reprint) and translator of Levinas’s Difficult Freedom (Johns Hopkins, 2010, 9th reprint).
