This book offers a comprehensive roadmap for securing modern digital supply chains by weaving together foundational theory, organizational strategy, and advanced technologies. Beginning with a rigorous taxonomy of attack vectors and end-to-end security frameworks, it then introduces the Blueprint concept for Critical Infrastructure Protection, detailing reference architectures, reusable TOSCA-based templates, and their deployment in cloud-enabled operational technologies with integrated SBOM and DevSecOps pipelines. Building on this, the book examines the human and institutional dimensions of supply-chain security through a systematic review of European higher-education initiatives, regulatory compliance requirements, and industry–academia collaborations, and presents the SECURE framework’s six strategic pillars—risk management, educational innovation, compliance integration, emerging technologies, partnerships, and workforce development—illustrated via a hypothetical case study. Finally, it showcases cutting-edge sectoral applications, from prioritizing cybersecurity measures in aerospace, agriculture, automotive, and pharmaceutical value chains using multi-criteria decision-making and Digital Twins, to leveraging AI and machine-learning models for real-time anomaly detection and predictive analytics, and deploying blockchain-based traceability solutions that employ smart contracts and QR-code verification to enhance transparency and trust. Written by leading academics and practitioners, this book bridges theory and practice to empower researchers, infrastructure operators, and policymakers with the insights and tools needed to build resilient, transparent, and secure digital supply-chain ecosystems

Badis Hammi is an Associate Professor at Institut Polytechnique de Paris, Télécom SudParis, France. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Technology of Troyes in 2015. Following his doctoral studies, he held a postdoctoral research position at Télécom ParisTech, France. He then served as Head of the Cybersecurity and Management Master of Science (MSc) program at PSB-EFREI School of Engineering, and subsequently as Head of the Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity at EPITA School of Engineering and Computer Science. His current research interests focus on network security and intrusion detection systems, with a particular emphasis on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs).

Nour El Madhoun is currently an Associate Professor of Computer Science, Cybersecurity and Blockchain and Head of the engineering cycle Digital Security and Networks at Isep – Engineering School in Paris, a position she has held since May 2022. She is also an Associate Researcher at Sorbonne Université/LIP6, where she was part of the PHARE team from 2020 to 2022 and has been a member of the NPA team since November 2022. In addition, she is affiliated as an Associate Researcher with Université Paris-Saclay/LISN in the ROCS team.

She received her Master’s degree in Networks/Computer Science from Sorbonne Université/Télécom ParisTech in 2014 and her Ph.D. degree in Cybersecurity/Computer Science from Sorbonne Université in 2018. At Sorbonne Université, she served as an ATER in 2017. In 2018, she gained industry experience as a post-doctoral researcher at Orange Labs, working on blockchain and smart contract technologies.

From 2019 to 2020, she joined Isep – Engineering School in Paris as an Associate Professor of Cybersecurity and Blockchain, while also overseeing the engineering cycle Digital Security and Networks. From 2020 to 2022, she served as an Associate Professor of Cybersecurity and Blockchain at EPITA – Engineering School in Paris.

Her current research focuses on network security, cryptographic protocols, EMV payment systems, NFC technology, blockchain and smart contract technologies, and Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) for cybersecurity.

She has co-edited the following four Springer books: Emerging Trends in Cybersecurity Applications (with Kevin?Daimi, Abeer?Alsadoon, Cathryn?Peoples), Principles and Practice of Blockchains (with Kevin?Daimi, Ioanna?Dionysiou), Building Cybersecurity Applications with Blockchain and Smart Contracts (with Ioanna?Dionysiou, Emmanuel?Bertin), Blockchain and Smart Contract Technologies for Innovative Applications (with Ioanna?Dionysiou, Emmanuel?Bertin).
