Rakesh Bhaskar is an Assistant Professor (International Faculty Member) specializing in polymers and biomaterials in the School of Chemical Engineering at Yeungnam University in Gyeongsan, South Korea. He received his doctoral degree in the field of neuroendocrine science from Allahabad University, India. He then moved to NIT Rourkela, as a postdoctoral fellow, during which tenure he worked in the areas of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. He has published more than 40 scientific papers in SCI/SCIE-grade journals and has also published five book chapters. His work has received more than 600 citations, with an h-index of 12. He is also a reputed reviewer for several peer-reviewed international journals. His research interests are in stem cells, cardiac regeneration, tissue engineering, cultured meat production, and in vitro spermatogenesis.

Santosh Kumar is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur, India. He also served as Research Professor in the Department of Organic and Nano System Engineering, Division of Chemical Engineering, Konkuk University, Seoul, South Korea.Dr. Kumar received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Chemistry and his D. Phil. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Allahabad, India. He worked as a Research Associate (CSIR) at the Department of Chemistry, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, India. He was awarded the CAS-TWAS Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2008 and worked in the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Changchun, China. Later, he joined as a KU Brain Pool professor and researcher at Konkuk University, Seoul, South Korea (2010-2013). He was awarded the FCT Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2012 and worked in the Chemistry Centre, University of Coimbra, Coimbra, Portugal (2013-2017).During his career, Dr. Kumar has published more than 115 research papers, three international patents, edited four books, and contributed 19 book chapters. He has also served as a member of different organizing committees and as an editorial board member and reviewer for numerous scientific journals.His current research interests involve source apportionment of chemical modification, optical and biological properties of chitosan biopolymer for biomedical applications, hydrogel, aerogel, nanomaterials, drug and gene delivery, and environmental chemistry.

Mukesh Kumar Gupta is a Professor of Biotechnology and Medical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela. He is currently Director of the ICMR-National Animal Resource Facility for Biomedical Research, Hyderabad, India. He earned his Ph.D. in interdisciplinary Biotechnology, Nanotechnology and Information Technology from the Department of Advanced Fusion Technology at Konkuk University, South Korea in 2007. He served as Assistant/Associate Professor in the College of Biosciences and Bioresources at Konkuk University, South Korea, and as Participating Faculty at the Institute of Biomedical Science and Technology, South Korea during 2007-2011. He has also been a visiting scientist to the Instituto Superior Técnico, Portugal; Warsaw Institute of Technology, Poland; and the University of Malaysia, Malaysia. He has more than 15 years of research and teaching experience, has published more than 85 publications in various SCI-indexed journals, and has 18 patents to his credit. He has also written more than 15 book chapters and has edited one book. He is an editorial board member of eight international journals and a reviewer for several peer-reviewed SCI-indexed journals. He is a founding member of the Council of Asian Science Editors (CASE) and is an Elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology, U.K.; National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, India; National Academy of Biological Sciences, India; National Academy of Dairy Sciences, India; National Environment Science Academy, India; Society of Applied Biotechnology, India; Academy of Environment and Life Sciences, India; and the Indian Association for Advancement of Veterinary Research, India, amongst others. He is a Board Member of the Animal Welfare Board of India and the Committee for Control and Supervision of Experiments in Animals, Government of India. He is also a subject expert of the National Testing Agency (NTA); Union Public Service Commission (UPSC); National Board of Accreditation (NBA); and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), India.
