David Greasley is Professor of Economic History in theSchool of History, Classics and Archaeology at EdinburghUniversity. His research interests include the construction ofnational income accounts in historical perspective, comparativeeconomic development, the Great Depression in the USA, Britishindustrialization since 1700, and the economic history of NewZealand.
Les Oxley is Professor in Economics at the University ofCanterbury, and Adjunct Professor at Curtin University ofTechnology, Australia. His research interests includemodelling and testing theories of economic growth, financialeconometrics, intellectual property, energy economics andcliometrics. He is a founding editor of Blackwell'sJournal of Economic Surveys and sits on the editorial boardsof several international journals.
