[Resurrection]
The Easter message of Jesus’ raising from the dead is regarded as fundamental for Christian faith on its way to a new and distinct religion. But the subject of resurrection concerns likewise the Christian hope in the individual and common fulfilment of human life even transcending earthly existence. 'We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come' (Nicene Creed). This publication discusses both aspects, the Christological and the eschatological, in its interrelation. Following a helpful introduction by Dietrich Korsch Michael Wolter gives an overview of the topic in the entire biblical context. Michael Welker and Michael Beintker discuss central issues of a systematic-theological nature. Finally the perspective of religious studies is taken into account also by the contribution of Andreas Feldtkeller.
