<strong>Gustaaf Geeraerts</strong> is a professor of international relations and the director of the Brussels Institute of Contemporary China Studies (BICCS) at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Belgium. He is also an editorial board member of Global Society: Journal of Interdisciplinary International Relations. <br><br><strong>Eva Gross</strong> is a senior research fellow at the Institute for European Studies, Belgium. Her recent publications include <em>Continuity and Change in European Crisis Management</em> and <em>The Europeanization of National Foreign Policy.</em>
