Therapeutic plasma exchange has become an essential tool in modern clinical practice, offering effective treatment for an expanding range of diseases. This book provides a clear and comprehensive guide to the fundamentals of plasma exchange, alongside advanced techniques such as immunoadsorption and LDL apheresis.

Recognizing the critical role of immunosuppression in plasma exchange, the text explores the integration of established and novel immunosuppressive therapies. It outlines current indications across multiple specialties—including nephrology, neurology, hematology, rheumatology, and intensive care—and evaluates the latest evidence on clinical outcomes.

Readers will find detailed discussion of international guidelines from leading organizations such as ASFA, KDIGO, and the American College of Rheumatology. The book also addresses emerging applications in oncology and highlights future directions for research and practice.

Designed for nephrologists, rheumatologists, neurologists, hematologists, and intensive care professionals, this resource combines authoritative guidance with a consistent structure for ease of use. It is an indispensable reference for clinicians seeking to enhance their expertise in plasma exchange and stay aligned with the most recent standards in the field.
