Mitova, Ekaterina
Ekaterina Mitova: I am a Senior User Assistance Developer at SAP. I started as an information developer 14 years ago. Then, a couple of years later, I switched to development, only to realize that information development is my true passion. Or in other words, I love to provide help that really helps. In the last couple of years, I am working mostly on chatbots, conversational UI and AI, and taxonomy and ontology.

Yunker, John
John Yunker, co-founder of Byte Level Research (www.bytelevel.com), consults with many of the world’s largest multinational corporations, providing web globalization training and benchmark services. Over the years, he has authored a number of reports
on web globalization, including 16 annual editions of The Web Globalization Report Card. His most recent book is Think Outside the Country: A Guide to Going Global and Succeeding in the Translation Economy. The book is also now available in Japanese. John also authored The Art of the Global Gateway, available in PDF, paperback, and Kindle formats (www.bytelevel.com/books/gateway). He writes the popular blog Global By Design (www.globalbydesign.com).

Macgregor, Marianne
Marianne Macgregor is a user assistance development architect at SAP SE. She joined SAP in 1999 as a translator, later moving to a technical communication role. Since 2016 Marianne has mainly focused on conversation design. She became interested in conversation design because she was frustrated with voice bots that were unable to understand her Scottish accent. And she then wanted to know how they were designed and how they could be improved. Currently, Marianne is a project manager for an SAP-internal conversation design project. She has also co-created and teaches basic and advanced training courses on conversation design at SAP. Marianne is one of SAP’s Trainers of the Year 2019 and together with her project team she won the SAP User Assistance Green Dot Award for Enablement in 2020.

Simov, Dimiter
Dimiter Simov (Jimmy) is a usability practitioner who is currently helping the teams behind SAP Cloud Platform make the platform easier to use, more accessible, and better fit to the needs of users. He has played the roles of usability consultant, interaction designer, technical writer, product owner of documentation, accessibility-standard driver, and a few more. His professional career revolves around the way people are supposed to use software and devices. He dreams of usable IT and is interested in how we can build software and devices that people can use to excel at their jobs.

Krishnan, Nithya
Nithya Krishnan is a User Assistance Development Architect and UX Advocate by profession. In her 13 years of experience in the field of technical communications,
she has authored end-user documentation assets across domains such as healthcare, mobility, database modeling, enterprise on-premise and cloud-based solutions.
With an academic background in Information Technology, her interest lies in creating a cohesive learning environment for all roles involved in a software development process. Keeping a keen focus on user-centricity, collaboration and transparency, she helps create better and delightful product experiences through her writing.

Mikhailov, Petko
Petko Mikhailov, Content Strategist at PROS, has 20+ years of experience in the tech-comm field and educational background in English language, general and computational linguistics, structured writing, and cryptography. He specializes in documentation for IT
engineers such as software developers, system administrators, and solution implementation specialists. In the recent years, Petko’s professional focus has been on API documentation, a subject which he is passionate about and on which he often writes articles and delivers presentations.

Vekeman, Kaat
Kaat Vekeman has been creating and translating use assistance, mainly in the healthcare software industry, for several years. Having a background in translation,
she has been applying knowledge and expertise about structured writing, DITA, and minimalism, along with best practices of agile and scrum methodologies, to the domain of software documentation and localization. She is currently working as a documentation and localization specialist at the Documentation & Localization department of DH Healthcare, part of the Dedalus group.

St. Amant, Kirk
Kirk St.Amant is a Professor and Eunice C. Williamson Endowed Chair in Technical Communication and the Director of the Center for Health and Medical Communication (CHMC) at Louisiana Tech University (USA). He is also an Adjunct Professor of International Health and Medical Communication with the University of Limerick (Ireland) and a Research Fellow and Adjunct Professor of User Experience Design with the University of Strasbourg (France). His research focuses on how cognition affects usability and design with a focus on international health and medical contexts and international online education.

Rieder, Martin
Martin Rieder is managing director of CAVEO. He provides support on topics such as technical safety & documentation, product conformity & liability as well as legal-technical support for questions regarding regulations, standards, and regulatory affairs. His
customers are manufacturers and operators from various industries, ranging from SMEs to internationally operating companies. He is lecturer at the master’s program “Technical Documentation” at FH Joanneum Graz and board member of tekom Austria. As a member of the Advisory Board Legislation and Standards of tekom Europe and as an expert/delegate in international/national standardization committees, he works on the development of safety and documentation standards. He passes on his knowledge as a trainer, speaker, and author.

Orue, Priscill
Priscill Orue. I’m a passionate computer scientist and a linguist. I’ve combined these two areas in content production, from e-Learning to chatbot design, with an emphasis on product documentation for different purposes and audiences. Currently, I’m a Senior Technical Writer working for Red Hat, involved with projects for 3scale API Management, to deliver customerfocused and goal-oriented content, as well as to ensure quality across
product areas.
