The present publication is an attempt to provide an overview on the research projects over the last years concerning cultural transfers. On the one hand, this overview should present a balance of the results obtained at different places of the network of researchers working on this approach of historical transfers; on the other hand, it draws attention to promising new fields on enquiry. This publication was prepared during a conference at Leipzig University in December 2019 and is related to the research programme of the Collaborative Research Centre (SFB) 1199: „Processes of Spatialization under the Global Condition“, which organized the conference. The question of spatialization remains a core problem in the research on cultural transfers.
