CHARLES H. DRUMMOND, III, PhD, recently retired from TheOhio State University as Emeritus Professor in the MaterialsScience and Engineering Department. Drummond has been the Directorof the Annual Conference on Glass Problems since 1974 and is arecipient of the Ohio Governor's Emerging Technology Award and theAmerican Ceramic Society's Cramer Award.
