Rafael Diaz-Nieto: Completed his surgical training in Spain in 2010. He achieved the European Board Qualification in HPB Surgery in 2014 and the European Board Qualification in Transplantation Surgery (multi-organ retrieval and liver transplantation) in 2015 by the European Union of Medical Specialists (EUMS). Professionally he has worked as Consultant Surgeon for 3 years at “Hospital Clinico Universitario de Malaga” in Spain and completed a post-CCT fellowship in HPB surgery and liver transplantation surgery at Royal Free Hospital in London, UK and post-CCT fellowship in Transplantation Surgery at Addenbrooke’s Cambridge University Hospital in Cambridge, UK. Currently works as Hepatobiliary Consultant Surgeon at Aintree University Hospital in Liverpool.
