Die Erforschung der Sprache der Septuaginta kann erst dann zu einer wahrhaften Erkenntnis ihrer besonderen theologischen Aussagekraft gelangen, wenn die Idee vom Austausch von hebräischem und griechischem Sprach- und Gedankengut in der Klassik und im Hellenismus eine so bestimmte Gestalt gewinnt, dass sie zum Leitfaden und Kern der ganzen Septuaginta-Forschung wird.
Um einen möglichst tiefgreifenden Wandel im Studium der Glaubenswelt der Septuaginta zu bewirken, wird im vorliegenden Band besonderes Augenmerk auf Begriffe und Konzepte vom göttlichen Reich und menschlichen Reichen in einschlägigen Texten der Septuaginta im Vergleich zum masoretischen Text und ihr religiös-historisches, philologisches und philosophisches Umfeld gelegt.
