John Callahan (1951-2010) was an American cartoonist known for his frank portrayals of challenging subjects. A quadriplegic following a car accident at age twenty-one, Callahan's cartoons frequently touched upon addiction, ableism and the absurd. He was the creator of the Nickelodeon cartoon Pelswick.
