“Training … Horseback Riding” is written for children and adolescents who have learned to ride and are beginning to train. It is intended as a training companion and work book. The question “Training-but how?” is answered in an age appropriate and sophisticated manner. Topics include goals and motivations needed for young riders to succeed, the significance of the psyche, how to build performance for shows and how to cope with performance pressure. The young riders will find out why good conditioning is important, how to learn a new technique step by step, and how a rider achieves good balance.
