Volodymyr Babich is a Professor of Operations and Information Management at the McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University, USA. Prof. Babich’s research interests are the interface of operations and finance, supply risk management, supply chain management, stochastic modeling, and risk management. Prof. Babich serves as an associate editor for Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, and Naval Research Logistics, and as a senior editor for Production and Operations Management.

John R. Birge studies mathematical modeling of systems under uncertainty, especially for maximizing operational and financial goals using the methodologies of stochastic programming and large-scale optimization. A former dean of the Robert R. McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Northwestern University, USA, he has worked as a consultant for a variety of firms including the University of Michigan Hospitals, Deutsche Bank, Allstate Insurance Company, and Morgan Stanley, and he uses cases from these experiences in his teaching.

Gilles Hilary joined the McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University, USA, as the Houston Term Professor in 2016. He is a founding member of Cercle-K2, a French think-tank on risk management. He is a Research Fellow (Chercheur Associé) at the French Military Police Academy (CREOGN) and a Senior Fellow at the Asian Bureau of Finance and Economic Research (ABFER). His research has been profiled in publications such as the Financial Times, Le Monde, Handelsblatt, Bloomberg Businessweek, Yomiuri Shimbun / Japan News, The Hindu, among many others. His research has been published in leading academic journals.
